Orchard Orders — Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Orchard Orders game for iOS. The website you are reading it on has its own policy at /privacy.
There is no account
Orchard Orders has no sign-up, no login and no cloud save. We never learn who you are: nothing you do in the game is attached to a name, an email address or a phone number, because none of those is ever asked for.
What is stored on your device
So that you can close the app mid-game and come back to it, the following is written to your device's local storage and stays there:
- the current level, the board layout in progress, and your running score
- your best score, and a local top-five list of your own past scores
- your coin balance and how many of each item (hammer, brush, shuffle) you have left
- the sound and vibration switches
That is the complete list, and none of it is ever uploaded: there is no cloud backup and no server-side copy of your progress. Deleting the app deletes all of it, permanently and unrecoverably; a new phone starts from level 1.
What the app sends
The app includes a component that fetches its configuration from, and reports usage events to, our own servers. Those requests carry basic technical information about the app and the device — app version, platform and OS version, device model, screen size, connection type — together with a device identifier, on iOS the identifier for vendor (IDFV). The IDFV is not your name, your email or your phone number and is not tied to any account; it changes as soon as you delete every app of ours from the device. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is never read and the App Tracking Transparency prompt is never shown.
None of it is needed in order to play: the game runs entirely on the device and works in airplane mode.
The app can also load web pages from third parties. Those pages are not ours and may set their own cookies or storage under their own policies, exactly as they would in a browser tab; that storage is non-persistent and never touches the cookies of your browser or of any other app.
Permissions it does not ask for
No name, no email address, no phone number, no contacts, no calendar, no photos, no microphone, no camera, no health data, no location. The app requests none of these — you can confirm it in the app's permission list in iOS Settings, which stays empty.
Coins are not a purchase
The coins and items in the game are earned by clearing levels and are only spendable inside the game. There are no in-app purchases and no subscription, so no payment information is ever involved.
Children
The game is rated 4+ and there is nothing age-inappropriate in it, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. The only identifier the app sends is the device-level IDFV described above, which is not tied to a person. If you believe a child's data has been sent to us, email the address below and it will be removed.
Changes and contact
Event records are kept in aggregate for operating and improving the app; the only identifier we hold is the device-level one above, so resetting it ends the link to anything recorded before. If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Questions, or a request to delete the data associated with your device identifier: hello@vexlo.click.
