Hollow Hive — Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Hollow Hive game for iOS. The website you are reading it on has its own policy at /privacy.

There is no account

Hollow Hive has no sign-up, no login and no cloud save. We never learn who you are: nothing you do in the game is attached to a name, an email address or a phone number, because none of those is ever asked for.

What is stored on your device

Hollow Hive is an idle game, so it keeps working while it is closed — the following is written to your device's local storage and stays there, and is what the game reads to grant your offline progress when you return:

  • your current colony: grain on hand, how many of each caste you keep, your forage and larder upgrade levels, your swarm charge, and when the app was last open
  • your queens and the permanent multiplier they grant
  • lifetime totals used for achievements — grain earned, taps, swarms released, and nuptial flights
  • your preferences: appearance, sound and haptics

It is not sent anywhere, it is not backed up by us, and deleting the app deletes it. There is no way to recover it afterwards, and no way for us to restore it. Using Reset progress in Settings starts a fresh colony.

Data privacy

Hollow Hive does not collect or transmit personal information, device identifiers or usage data. Your game progress, achievements and preferences stay on your device. The game works offline and has no accounts, ads, purchases or subscriptions.

The app does not request access to contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health data or location.
