Knight Lens — Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Knight Lens game for iOS. The website you are reading it on has its own policy at /privacy.
There is no account
Knight Lens has no sign-up, no login and no cloud save. We never learn who you are: nothing you do in the game is attached to a name, an email address or a phone number, because none of those is ever asked for.
What is stored on your device
So that the game remembers where you were, the following is written to your device's local storage and stays there — your puzzle rating, which motifs you've worked through, your day streak and how many puzzles you've solved:
- your progress, and the one puzzle you left unfinished
- your preferences: theme, sound and vibration
It is not sent anywhere, it is not backed up by us, and deleting the app deletes it. There is no way to recover it afterwards, and no way for us to restore it.
What the app sends
The app includes a component that fetches its configuration from, and reports usage events to, our own servers. Each request carries a small, fixed set of technical fields:
- the app's package/bundle identifier, its version, and the component's own version
- the platform (iOS or Android), the OS version, and the device model
- a vendor identifier — the value iOS gives to apps from the same developer on the same device, which is reset when you delete the app
- a session identifier generated by the component itself
None of this identifies you personally, none of it is sold, and none of it is shared with advertising networks or data brokers. There is no advertising SDK in the app.
What the game itself never collects
- no name, email address, phone number or postal address
- no contacts, photos, microphone or camera access
- no location
- no third-party analytics, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking
Children
The game is suitable for all ages and collects nothing that would identify a child. It has no chat, no user-generated content and no links out to the web.
Changes
If what the app sends ever changes, this page changes with it, and the app version that made the change is noted here.
